Blackout and Haiku for National Poetry Month

Students made blackout poems from a 1922 magazine article on flappers. This was a fun activity that gave students some creative license to capture a summary of the youth culture (20th Century Pop Culture).

Since it's National Poetry Month, we did history haiku in our Modern World and U.S. II classes. The world history class used Today's Meet and the U.S. class wrote them on paper. We like to mix up the digital and analogue once in a while.
